Daisy Carlos
Daisy Carlos is the eight of nine children. Born in a family of artists. She naturally pursued Fine Arts in University of the East, Ramon Magsaysay.
Growing up in a creative family fuelled her love for fantasy. Her loves of Fairy Tales are greatly evident in her works. And like fairy tale princesses, her images of women are often surrounded by animals and flowers. With a touch of whimsy, her slender harlequins are often depicted doing silly acrobatics or holding peculiar objects.
Daisy is an active member of the Saturday Group, and Wednesday Group. Have been included in several group exhibitions, and recently had her first solo exhibition Frolic. Frolic is a nod to the brighter side of things amidst the chaotic, circus-like life that we’re living, there’s always room for silliness.
