Nida Cranbourne
Nida Hemedes Cranbourne was born in Manila. She has a degree in
Business Administration from the University of the Philippines and an M.A. in Communication Arts from New York University.
Her involvement in the Philippine art scene started in the 70's, when
she opened the Arts and Ends Gallery at the then Hyatt Hotel. She
moved to Hong Kong when she married the Australian photographer Raymond Cranbourne.
She and her husband established the Focal Point Studio in Hong Kongwhere she exhibited the works of many established Filipino Artists. Nida took up various art seminars and classes in Hong Kong, concentrating mainy on watercolors, acrylics and oils, and painting her favorite flowers.
She has particiapted in many Philippine art group exhibitions in HongKong and in Manila where she is member of the Saturday Group.
She has also mounted solo art exhibitions at the Excelsior Hotel and
at Mandarin Oriental Hotel HongKong.
